Learn how to transform old clothing into unique wearable art through textile painting. Using acrylic sprays, 3D fabric paints, and print techniques, you can easily refresh fabrics and create stunning, personalized fashion pieces.
In today's article we will see how we can refresh older clothes that we are tired of into special items of clothing, through painting, in a very simple way.
First used in the 1950s, acrylics are now considered one of the most important innovations for artists. The popularity of acrylics among artists can be attributed mainly to their versatility. Acrylic textile colors are particularly vivid and bright, and can be used for painting, decorating or printing on natural or synthetic fibers. After fixing with an iron, the colors are perfectly resistant to washing and dry cleaning and retain their suppleness. They can be used in their pure state or diluted with water to achieve watercolor effects.
One of the first and simplest ideas for beautifying an article of clothing is acrylic spray, which is particularly easy to use, with modern effects.

For the next project, we use a so-called 3D acrylic fabric paint, meaning the paint is thicker, and after drying it remains "embossed" on the clothes. The paint comes in tubes with a thin applicator at the end.

This type of acrylic paint can decorate countless surfaces.

3D models on other surfaces
The last of the projects is a bit more complicated because the pattern that is printed on the textile surface is scratched on another surface. You can use any easily scratchable and flexible material (there is a foam that scratches easily but unfortunately the product does not yet exist in our country) such as linoleum.

In conclusion, here are two other sensational models of painting on clothing items, some even with additions of other materials.
